Dr. Ashley Rasys-Bode
DVM
Dr. Ashley Rasys-Bode graduated from the University of Georgia in 2022 with her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and Cellular Biology. Before joining Alexandria Animal Hospital of Fort Hunt, Dr. Rasys-Bode was a research fellow at the National Eye Institute studying genetic disorders that affect the eyes of both humans and animals. She is passionate about advancing veterinary medicine and caring for our furry companion animals. In her free time, Dr. Rasys enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and chilling with friends and their animals.

Nina Boyle
Veterinary Assistant
Nina is a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant with a lifelong love for animals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in wildlife photojournalism with a minor in environmental science and is currently working toward her veterinary technician license. Though not originally from Virginia, Nina is excited to finally call it home.
Outside of the clinic, Nina enjoys wildlife photography (her favorite excuse to spend time with animals and call it “art”). When she’s not behind the camera or at work, she’s often outdoors, helping on her family’s farm, or spending time with her cat, Fern — who, if you ask her, is really in charge — and the people she loves.
Pedro Guzman
Veterinary Assistant
Pedro Guzman is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with a calm, compassionate approach to patient care. Skilled in supporting exams, surgeries, and daily treatments, he’s committed to making both pets and their people feel at ease. Known around the clinic as a bit of a “dog whisperer”, Pedro is a lifelong learner with interests ranging from law and medicine to philosophy and technology.
Jessie Santiago
Veterinary Assistant
Jessie is a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant with over eight years of experience in small animal care. She is passionate about supporting pets and their people and works to create a calm, reassuring experience for every visit. Jessie’s strong interest in pathology has inspired her to continue her education as she grows within the veterinary field.
Kaylee Rodriquez
Veterinary Assistant
Kaylee is a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant and a recent Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. She shares her home with two dogs and 10 chickens, and she’s working toward her goal of becoming a veterinarian with a focus on companion animal general practice. Along the way, Dr. Rasys has been an incredible mentor, guiding her path in veterinary medicine.
Fun fact: Kaylee once performed a blood draw on a lion! Even though she’s only been with the clinic for a few months, she already feels like part of the family.
